AUTHOR DONALD REICHARDT 

Donald Reichardt taught English and journalism and wrote for newspapers before launching a corporate career in public relations and advertising during which he wrote speeches for five Bell System CEOs. He was executive director of advertising, brand management and Olympic Games sponsorship for the BellSouth Corporation before leaving to freelance and return to his writing roots.

Reichardt consulted with a number of organizations and companies, including The Advertising Council in New York and Atlanta-based Randstad North America. He developed strategic plans for three non-profits and wrote more than 60 by-lined articles for magazines and business newspapers.

He was elected to the Public Relations Society of America’s College of Fellows and to the Georgia Public Relations Society hall of fame housed at the University of Georgia. In 2011, he was honored as a Distinguished Alumni of Emporia State University in Kansas. The Donald Reichardt Center for Publishing and Literary Arts was opened there in 2014.
